James is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary based in Marin County. He is passionate about helping his clients navigate some of life's hardest transitions. James serves as trustee, successor trustee, executor, power of attorney and offers ongoing financial and healthcare support to his clients. He keeps his caseload small, ensuring every client gets his full attention. That means regular personal contact, close coordination with each client's legal, medical, and financial team, and careful oversight of their finances.

Before becoming a fiduciary, James spent 25 years working as a commercial photographer. Clients and colleagues often came to him for financial advice, and eventually that led him to build a fiduciary practice of his own. His years behind the camera taught him team leadership and creative collaboration. He now brings these skills to his work with clients and their families.

James is licensed through the PFAC Fiduciary Academy and is a member of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California and the National Guardianship Association.

Outside his practice, James has served as Stewardship Chair at Sleepy Hollow Presbyterian Church in San Anselmo for over a decade.  He also enjoys volunteering with the Street Chaplaincy program in San Rafael, preparing and serving meals for the unhoused community. In his personal time, James likes to garden, surf, mountain bike, and spend time with his family in beautiful Marin County
